Batteries

Battery systems provide greater independence from the electricity grid and are, in many cases, an excellent complement to solar panels. The energy you generate from the sun and do not use immediately is stored in a home battery instead of being fed back into the grid at a lower tariff. You can then use this stored energy later, when your solar panels produce little or no power. In this way, you maximize the use of your solar installation and consume your self-generated electricity when you actually need it. This is known as self-consumption and is actively encouraged by regulators and governments.
