About us

The research group Energy and Materials in Infrastructure and Buildings (EMIB) is affiliated to the Faculty of Applied Engineering at the University of Antwerp. EMIB focuses on research in the field of infrastructure, buildings and industrial heat applications where quality, durability and energy play a central role. With a variety of innovative research projects in collaboration with industry partners, EMIB translates its academic knowledge into relevant insights. At this fair, EMIB will be represented by four projects: EVERGREEN, Bio-build, SIM2SAVE and Urban Mining.
