Stabilame
About us
Stabilame is a Belgian company specialising in the manufacture of structural timber construction materials. With its 100-strong workforce and two production sites, Stabilame brings real added value to timber construction projects, both through its timber design analysis within the design office, and through the high quality of its digitalised manufacturing (and pre-fabrication) of local and European timber and its environmental certifications.
The glued CLT and nailed CLT construction elements are manufactured and notched to size, including reservations for special techniques. Glulam beams are manufactured and pre-notched so that the elements can be assembled easily and precisely on site. KVH (finger-jointed rafters) are produced to the required length, with or without notching.
More than just a manufacturer, Stabilame is also innovating with the production of Stabisol, structural panels made from CLT glued together with insulation between its layers of wood, for use in walls, roofs, etc. Large in size and as structural as CLT, it's a fast new way of building ‘all in one’, including the structure, insulation and finish.
Manufacturing and pre-fabrication are key, because all the parts are pre-notched on our automated notching centres, so that assembly on site is easy for professionals.
Over 55 years of expertise in the timber industry (Riche Group) has also enabled Stabilame to develop off-site construction, with over 10 years' experience in the workshop production of modular buildings suitable for social and recreational housing, offices, large hotel buildings, student accommodation, etc. Stabilame's industrial equipment, manufacturing design office and experience in processing and notching wood materials will enable you to bring your projects to fruition, from the simplest to the most complex, with a healthy dose of simplification.
Not forgetting the environmental certifications of its materials: bio-sourced labels, PEFC certificates for sustainable forest management, B-EPD in TOTEM for the environmental calculation of buildings. These are proofs for environmental projects, such as bids subsidised by Europe committing to DNSH principles, or BREEAM, LEED, WELL projects, etc.

STABISOL
STABISOL structural elements are a real innovation in sustainable construction. They are CLT panels with insulation between their cross-laminated layers. Like CLT panels, they offer high static performance, with the addition of high thermal and hygrometric values. This Stabilame innovation has been validated by Buildwise. Manufactured on the same presses as CLT, Stabisol also comes in large 3 x 12 m panels, with the option of integrating an interior wood finish and an exterior cladding finish. Stabisol is available in 2 versions: the classic version, with cross-laminated solid wood and insulation between the layers, and the technical version, which also incorporates a grooved counter-face on the inside so that special techniques can be incorporated after construction. It is an ‘all-in-one’ panel: structural, thermal performance, direct finishes and lightweight, easy-to-install panels. It is suitable for new build, renovation and off-site construction. To manufacture CLT and Stabisol, Stabilame uses local, PEFC-certified timber, which guarantees short supply chains and wood from sustainably managed forests.

CLT Stabilame
CLT Stabilame is CLT made in Belgium, from local wood. Made from high-quality spruce or fir, glued CLT panels are designed for the construction of small, medium and high-rise buildings, thanks to their high dimensional stability and mechanical strength. A CLT manufacturer since 2007, Stabilame manages its production from A to Z, right after the sawmill, in its 2 digitised factories. This digitisation follows the project from its own production design office, which can work in BIM, or model your projects in 3D (depending on the assignment) and integrate the reservations for future special techniques. High-precision cut-outs are made on a PBA for rabbets, joints, assemblies, specific drillings and reservations for special techniques. Stabilame has extensive experience of building sites, and has set up an agile logistics service to facilitate the management of your building sites. Deliveries follow the phasing of your sites, on vertical or horizontal carriers. This avoids waiting times for lorries and storage on site. The panels are numbered according to a precise assembly plan, available in print or digital version. Using Stabilame CLT enables you to provide evidence and environmental benefits to support your projects incorporating DNSH principles (European projects) or seeking BREEAM or LEED certification, etc. In fact, Stabilame glued CLT panels benefit from several certifications or scientific studies that provide scientific answers to these principles, including bio-based labels, Environmental Product Declarations (present in TOTEM in Belgium and INIES in France) and PEFC certification.

Glulam beams - Structural frames
As a glulam manufacturer since it was founded in 1989, Stabilame brings you its expertise in glulam frameworks of all sizes and complexities. Its experience ranges from small-scale production, such as customised conservatory platforms, to monumental engineering structures like the Vivegnis foot&cyclebridge, to post-and-beam structures for multi-storey buildings. Thanks to its integrated production design office, coupled with its digitalised production plant, the quality of the frameworks supplied covers both the quality of the product (visual quality, etc.) and the precision of the cuts/assemblies and packaging. Packages are organised to facilitate assembly, with precise numbering, following a rigorous assembly plan, supplied in ready-to-print or digital form. Stabilame's glulam beams are PEFC-certified, and also feature a B-EPD Environmental Product Declaration in TOTEM. These two environmental benefits are major advantages for projects seeking environmental certification or compliance with the DNSH principles for European projects.

Nailed CLT Stabilame
Nailed CLT is a timber construction element made from cross-nailed planks. It offers all the static and thermal advantages of CLT, but is unique in that it contains no glue or chemicals. Designed for wall construction, it is suitable for individual or collective housing, commercial or tertiary buildings, and local authorities. Its thermal and hygrometric qualities, combined with the fact that it requires no glue or chemicals, make it ideal for environmental projects and projects designed to improve the well-being of occupants. A CLT manufacturer since 2007, Stabilame manages its manufacture from A to Z, right from the sawmill, in its 2 digitised factories. This digitisation follows the project from the production design office, which can model your projects in 3D (depending on the assignment) and integrate the reservations for future special techniques. Using Stabilame nailed CLT allows you to provide proof and environmental benefits to meet your projects incorporating DNSH principles (European projects) or wishing to achieve BREEAM or LEED certification, etc. In fact, Stabilame nailed CLT panels benefit from several certifications that provide scientific answers to these principles, including bio-based labels, Environmental Product Declarations (present in TOTEM in Belgium and INIES in France) and PEFC certification.
