Natuurpro
About us
Natuurpro is a project-driven network and knowledge organization of nature professionals, consisting of a network of ecologists, landscape architects, engineers, green contractors, knowledge partners, and related product partners. Natuurpro aims to contribute to a natural living environment in both urban and rural areas, striving for a green living environment where nature is optimally utilized. Natuurpro originated over 30 years ago in the Netherlands and launched in Belgium in 2023 with its own network of partners. The importance of greenery and nature in the living environment is increasingly recognized as a means of creating a pleasant living environment, health, and biodiversity. Many projects lack the necessary knowledge and coherence between design, implementation, and management. Natuurpro aims to change this by focusing on knowledge sharing, knowledge development, and collaboration. It does this both vertically and horizontally within the value chain, always pursuing long-term results. It is important that, in addition to nature value and impact on the social debate, added economic value is also created. Natuurpro covers all facets of nature development. Native herbaceous vegetation, green spaces for climate adaptation, nature-inclusive construction, ecological management, and wildlife management are examples of topics that belong within the network. Natuurpro projects are characterized by ambitious, feasible, and ecologically responsible choices and involvement in every phase of a project: from design and construction to management.
