Products & services

Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)
The GTIN, the number you see under barcodes (previously called the EAN), is used to uniquely identify billions of products all over the world. It gives an accurate and efficient way to access and share information about a product.

Global Location Number (GLN)
A globally standardised identification code that is used to uniquely and unambiguously identify specific locations. This standardised identification is essential for an efficient flow of goods and information between trading partners.

QR code by GS1
The QR code with GS1 Digital Link contains the product number (GTIN) in its URL structure, and possibly other information such as expiry date or batch and lot number. Thanks to the QR code and the GS1 Digital Link standard, you can decide which information to show depending on the user – consumer, retailer or even regulator – and depending on the context in which the code is scanned. In addition, the information can be updated at any time, without needing to change the QR code or the packaging!

Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC)
An SSCC is used to uniquely and unambiguously identify and trace a logistic unit. For example, a pallet that consists of several trade items and is assembled for transport receives an SSCC so it can be identified during its transport and storage.

GS1 DataMatrix
A two-dimensional (2D) barcode that is mainly used to encode a large amount of data in a very small barcode.
