Since it was established in 1969, VEKA has developed from a small regional company into a global market-leading supplier of PVC-U profile systems for windows and doors. The companyfrom Westphalia in western Germany remains family-run to this day and now operates on four continents. The internationally active VEKA Group is represented in 49 locations worldwide. In 2019, its 6,700 employees generated annual worldwide sales of €1.5 billion. 1,600 people work at Sendenhorst alone, where the Group is based. The site has a total area of 250,000 m², with production and storage facilities accounting for more than 80,000 m² of this. VEKA AG has succeeded in steadily expanding its competitive position over the years with its consistent focus on top-quality products. In 2014, the company completed a successful takeover of its competitor GEALAN including the firm’s 1,600 employees, which also made a significant contribution towards consolidating the key German market in particular. Elke Hartleif – the daughter of the company’s founder Heinrich Laumann – is VEKA’s HR Director; her husband Andreas Hartleif is CEO. All of the shares in VEKA AG are family-owned.
