Electrification has been underway for years. From production processes to transport, the transition to electricity brings new challenges, such as grid congestion. Grid congestion occurs when the demand for transport capacity on the electricity grid exceeds what the grid can supply at that moment.
A major cause is the growth of renewable energy. On a sunny day, countless PV installations often produce more energy than the grid can handle. This is good news for the environment, because renewable energy emits far fewer harmful substances than fossil fuels. However, the grid cannot always transport all the generated energy simultaneously. The solution is often curtailment: temporarily switching off energy production.
This is a shame, because that energy could be utilized much more effectively with a smart battery system or energy storage system. Through storage and smart control, energy can be distributed across the grid, or your own consumption of self-generated energy can be optimized.
We offer a variety of possible solutions for this, depending on your needs. The PoseHybrid combines batteries, PCS, PV coupling (AC/DC), and an emergency power module in a single compact system, without additional inverters. Even when the grid is off or unstable, solar panels can continue generating power as long as there is battery capacity, making the PV system completely independent of the grid connection.
