Paulussen Timber was founded in 1984 by Paulussen Eric.
In 2014, the second generation, Steven Paulussen, took over the company. Since this takeover, there has been a new wind blowing, one of thorough ecology. A conscious decision was made to invest heavily in research into Lesser Known Timber Species and a diversification of wood types. This diversification has a positive impact on ecology.
Today, Paulussen Houthandel is one of the most innovative timber merchants/wood industries in Western Europe. It invests large budgets in research and development, resulting in one international breakthrough after another.
The Forestlines® system breaks scientific boundaries by being the first façade profile to achieve European fire reaction class B-s1, d0 with untreated(!) wood.
Paulussen Houthandel links the tree to the project. By mapping the entire chain from tree to project, Houthandel Paulussen optimises all aspects such as quality, legality, etc.
Houthandel Paulussen is characterised by its extensive expertise in fire reaction classes and ecology.
Its specialisation in fire reaction classes ensures that the company is able to perfectly match legislation with ecology and timber construction.
Houthandel Paulussen believes in the sustainable use and diversification of wood types in order to protect the biodiversity of forests.
